Lightroom Tuition (1:1)

The ENWP 1:1 Lightroom Tuition course is brand new, launching for autumn 2008. The trial 1:1 workshops have proven to be enormously beneficial, compared to regular group workshops where your time is divided amongst twenty or more clients. The 1:1 Lightroom Tuition involves image critique, candid discussions of wildlife photography techniques, and hands-on demonstrations of Lightroom’s features. You will be in the driving seat as Elliott walks you through the Digital Workflow in a concise and structured approach. In addition to the latest tips and techniques, your questions and queries will be resolved immediately by an experienced wildlife professional. The 1:1 Lightroom Tuition can be tailored to your requirements and can include any or all of the following:

    • Photographing for Digital: Ggetting the most out of the digital image, discussing file formats,camera settings, understanding the histogram and tonal range
    • “The Dirty Edit”: Understanding the editing process, what makes a good wildlife image, identifying missed/bad images, learning to use the delete key
    • Introduction to the “Lightroom 5”: Library, Develop, Print, Slideshow, Web
    • Screen Layout: Library grid view, loupe view, filmstrip, panels, preferences, shortcuts
    • Importing: Develop presets, editing, picks, ranking
    • Organising Images: Working with folders and collections
    • Metadata: Keywording, keyword sets, synchronising
    • Developing Tools: Crop, white balance, exposure, highlight recovery, colour balance, contrast, tone curve, clone tool, etc
    • Develop Presets: Synchronising develop settings, importing with presets
    • Exporting: File formats, ad/disadvantages, editing images externally, presets
    • Discussing backup and contingencies

The ENWP 1:1 Lightroom Tuition is a full day, starting promptly at 9:00am and would run until 5:00pm - 6:00pm. All sessions are hosted in Elliott’s own home office using a PC workstation and 24” LCD Display. You are welcome to bring your own notebook and or portable hard drive to review and critique your wildlife images. The Lightroom tuition involves importing and editing images, so this could be either Elliott’s images, or your own. Fee includes refreshments and lunch.

Digital Wildlife Photography (1:1)

The ENWP 1:1 Digital Wildlife Photography course is brand new, launching for Winter 2008. This hands-on photography session involves image critique, candid discussions of wildlife photography techniques, and in-field training by Elliott Neep, an extensively published professional wildlife photographer. Before you join Elliott in the field, he will dicuss your particular requirements in detail and construct an agenda that will address your needs. In addition to the latest tips and techniques, your questions and queries will be resolved immediately. The ENWP 1:1 Digital Wildlife Photography course can be tailored to your requirements and can include any or all of the following:

  1. Understanding your equipment
  2. Getting the most out of the digital image
  3. Composing dynamic wildlife images
  4. In-field techniques for approaching wildlife

The ENWP 1:1 Digital Wildlife Photography course is a full day, starting promptly at 7:00am or sunrise (whichever is earlier) and would run until 8:00pm or sunset (whichever is later). The location will be dependent on accessibilty and weather and could change at the last minute. Fee includes refreshments, snacks, and lunch.
